Final Stop: Procrastination Station

For like ever I was a MEGA procrastinator! It was awful, I’d wait until last minute for everything. I had so many dreams and goals but my life was a mess. I was basically sitting around waiting for life to throw me some lemons but I’d let them rot before I got around to ever making the lemonaid.

Then one day I decided it was time to start working at some of these dreams of mine. So I started back up with college courses and this time I was going to finish what I started. At the time I was a mom, who’s fiance worked out of state. I worked full time and had a home to take care of. I quickly learned that my procrastinating days needed to end, like right now.

I started working by butt off, I no longer waited for life to hand me lemons. I walked right up to the tree, picked my own lemons and made some dang lemonaid to reward myself for making it through some incredibly long days.

My point? STOP being like I was and just letting life happen to you than sit around and belly ache because you’re not living the life you dreamed off. Sometimes life is going to throw some rotten crap at you. You can either sit around smelling it or you can use it as compost and plant yourself one beautiful garden.

” He who works the land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty” – Proverbs 28:19

We were intended to live an abundant life through Christ but in order to fill our destiny we need to start by doing the dishes, picking the lemons ourselves and planting the garden. In other words get of the procrastination train and pray that God will give you the tools that you need in order to make those beautiful dreams of yours come true. It starts with you.
