Lean on Him

Hello Lovely’s

My last post I wrote about taking the time to simply thank God for the many blessings in our lives, not asking for anything just simply saying “thank you” doing this at first was honestly a heck of a lot harder than I was expecting! I always ended up asking for something, like gesh how selfish am I?? Then it occurred to me just how much I lean on God’s guidence in my life. For years I tried to do everything myself I was trying to be “self-sufficient” but in reality I was self destructing 3 years ago I made the life changing decision to let God take over my life. I threw my hands up and said God I am yours. Since that day I learned to lean on God for EVERYTHING. I literally do not make a single decision in life without first praying. I prayed before we bought our house, truck, dog, heck I even prayed before we bought our living room couch! So if any of you are ever at my house you will be sitting on a blessed couch that my blessed dog chewed up! God helped me to realise that I wasn’t being selfish by leaning on him, I was finally doing what he asked me to do.

Proverbs 3:5-7 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight”

I now had the best thank you prayer for the Lord, I did and will continue to thank Him for being my life’s foundation and guiding me always. 3 years ago I threw my hands up (I seriously threw them up) and told Him I was His at the moment He caught me and has been guiding me ever since. All because I finally apprehended just how much I needed Him.

Be bold loves throw your hands up, give yourself to God. Let him lead you in life’s journey. He can’t force you to do this. It is a choice only you can make and I encourage you all to make that choice. You’ll be amazed at just how beautiful your life can be. Trust me there will still be moments when life well sucks but at least you’ll have God to hold you through the storm.
